From an early age, Wendy Aiken loved photography. Growing up surrounded by the distinctive coast and countryside of Suffolk, it was inevitable she would be drawn to capture the natural beauty of an idyllic scene. At the age of 12, after taking a photograph at the local beach, her father and godfather spotted her potential and supported Wendy with the gift of a smart camera for her next birthday.

Encouraged by them both, Wendy later predicted in a school project she would have her own photography business. In 2010, the dream became a reality and Wendy Aiken Photography was born.

The lifelong passion for capturing a special moment has never left Wendy and the stunning family images, professional business shots and scenic photographs are a testament to the talent developed over many years.

As Wendy says herself, “Having lost my Dad to cancer, I appreciate every photo holds a story long after the moment has passed. Creating images for others to cherish and enjoy is such a fun way to spend my time, it’s difficult to call this ‘work’!”

Wendy continues to live with her growing family in Eye, Suffolk and takes an active part in the community she holds dear. She can often be seen enjoying the local walks and landmarks, usually with a camera in hand.

Her positive approach, bubbly character and genuine love for photography puts even the most reluctant subject at ease. Her photo sessions are always fun and do capture the essence of the moment.

“Not many people can say they knew what they wanted to do at the age of 12, and then make it happen!”
